Baleric house from Ronnie Spiteri with Bem Bem on Kenja Records

South coast producer Ronnie Spiteri delivers a fine piece of Balearic house entitled ‘Bem Bem’ on his very own Kenja Records with a remix from Germany-based Markus Homm.

Established this year, Kenja Records has seen support from the likes of Groove Armada, Blond:ish, Waifs & Strays and Ben Pearce via Ronnie Spiteri’s material while this, the label’s fifth release, sees Markus Homm deliver a remix.

‘Bem Bem’ unravels with bongos and Spanish vocals whilst gambolling synths conjure up a fiesta vibe, before Spiteri's ‘Dub Mix’ generates a spacey, psychedelic feel with a heady groove and echoing vocals. Tying it all together Markus Homm delivers murky bass, muddy pads and twisted acid licks to manufacture a dark and brooding reinterpretation of the original.

Ronnie Spiteri’s ‘Bem Bem’ EP drops on Kenja Records now.
