Berlin-based duo Nerkkirn for their second outing release the 'Obervolt' EP

Berlin-based duo Nerkkirn, for their second outing have released grimy, reckless rave-ready techno with raunchy, distorted hooks and relentless beats. Coupling Berlin veteran Benjamin Weiss (aka Nerk of Toktok fame) with transplanted Kentuckian/recovering New Yorker and experimental musician Peter Kirn, Nerkkirn aren't getting any more normal.

'Finality' features blown-out synthesizer abuse in nearly guitar- like leads, before floating out the airlock into space, all set against a pounding groove. The quirky but no less insistent "Obervolt" puts the MeeBlip synthesizer (hardware co- designed by Kirn) center-stage in a dirty, driving electronic ostinato.

For the V-Records EP, Kirn and Weiss invite two others to join their band of weirdos - one more German, one more American.

The EP is to be released on V-Records on January 20th 2015 featuring remixes from Tallmen785, Syntax Error and The Most Worst Wasted.

We expect to hear more from Nerkkirn in the beginning of this year with their Antifuse E.P
