Dense & Pika return to Hotflush with 'Klank EP'

Dense & Pika return to Hotflush Recordings with their first original material since last year's smash, 'Colt'. The release of the 'Klank EP' see's them return to top form with some absolute belting tracks included on the EP which is out on 27th October.

Meanwhile they issued a chart-topping remix of Paul Woolford's 'Erotic Discourse' with a signature bombast that carries over into the present Klank EP.

Six tracks leave plenty of room for variety, however; from the toecap shuffle of the eponymous lead track to 'Bad Ink''s melodic grand designs, through 'Slacker''s binary jack and the pared-down house groove that is 'Slowhand', not to mention the aquatic depths explored by 'Wandering Hands', we see Dense & Pika's muscles at full flex.

Formed one London winter's day out of a rather remarkable impromptu studio session in 2011; Dense & Pika are a British electronic production/artist/DJ duo compromising of producer/DJs Alex Jones and Chris Spero better known to many by his Glimpse alias.

The duo have three releases under their belt on their Hotflush home, have played live at the cream of the world's clubs not least Trouw (Amsterdam), Panorama Bar (Berlin), Fabric (London) and most recently BPM (Mexico) for Richie Hawtin's Enter with club support overflowing from electronic music's finest DJ dignitaries such as Skream, Scuba, Breach, George Fitzgerald, Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Jackmaster, Dusky and beyond. They've even taken the time out to remix the likes of Maya Jane Coles and Paul Woolford. So why all the hype? Simple. They make innovative music in the studio and crucially they can do it live too!
