Detroit producer, Appian drops another track lifted from his forthcoming LP

Detroit producer, Appian drops another track lifted from his forthcoming LP “Aprileft”. Taking a nod to the Chi-town, “Leavin” is a stripped down house cut, made up of a fluid bass groove, acid-y synth lines reminiscent of house classic “Voodoo Ray”, interposed with distant vox samples and a minimal drum track tailored for funky footwork on the dancefloor.

Appian is a DJ/producer and also the cofounder of Sly Fox Records. After a successful first release, Sly Fox 01, the label has returned with a release entitled Corndogs, and plans to have Sly Fox 02 released in the coming year.

In Appian’s releases as well as his DJ style you can hear a wide variety of influences from disco and house to Detroit techno. Appian has also recently contributed to labels including End of Level Boss (UK), Phuture Shock Music (UK) and Local Heat (Detroit), and will be featured on several more albums coming out this year.

“Leavin” is the second single taken from Appian’s forthcoming debut album “Aprileft”, due out on 2nd February 2015, via Phuture Shock Musik
