Focused Techno from Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink with 'Ampex'

Intec regulars Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink make their fifth appearance on the label with the storming 'Ampex' EP - two tracks full of twisted and warped Techno, showcasing their impressive sound in all its glory.

German born Arnd Reichow aka Drumcomplex and Dutch native Roel Salemink are both respected solo artists in their own right, but when the pair come together their complimenting styles have produced some of their most compelling work.

The first track “Ampex” is packed with tension that’s brought to life by the underlying menace of its melody. Tom drums bubble up in a fast flowing rhythm which is soon complimented by a hard hitting clap to provide some added aggression. Taking no prisoners, this is dark and dance-floor focused Techno at its most exhilarating.

Second is “Eighties” which starts with looped chords that build with suspense as the track develops. When the main breakdown hits, so does the roar of the bass synth, which then tears through the track with devastating force. Peak time and perfect, this track harnesses a raw energy and cryptic sense of excitement.
