Matt Sassari releases four bombs on his 'Drum Pills' EP

Frenchman Matt Sassari returns to the Bouq imprint with his stripped back style on the 'Drum Pills' EP - the question asked on the release is quite simple 'Tell me how many pills you took?'...

With releases and on Sci+Tec, Tronic, Trapez, Rawthentic etc. frenchman Matt Sassari already walks on a great path with his style. So imprint bosses Amir and Butch were even prouder to get the chance to release a second EP with four more bombs from the man from Marseille. Stripped down techno at its best...

The release boasts four original tracks, with not a remix in sight... Sassari opens the EP with steamroller sized kick drums against drug-activating vocal samples, crisp 909 hi hats and claps, punctuated by intense funk stabs and wavy analogue synth breakdowns.

'Swesay' continues with complex drum & percussion arrangements and mysterious sounds from behind.

'Aint' is working on chordish sounds while 'Static Box' closes this release with where minimal melodies play against some serious, speaker pumping kicks, playful toms and cheeky vocal cut ups.
