Shlomi Aber delivers sublime techno on the 'Warfare' EP

Shlomi Aber needs no introduction as a globally successful DJ with a truly international fan base and a gig list that sees him jet setting nearly every weekend of the year. Arguably the biggest DJ to break out of Israel he has roots in the Tel Aviv club scene but also spends a lot of time in Barcelona (Spain).

His most recent release was on highly respected UK label R&S, but he boasts an impressive back catalogue which also includes Cocoon, Desolat and Josh Wink's label Ovum Recordings amongst many others. He has also collaborated with fellow legends such as Kenny Larkin and Guy Gerber.

The 57th release of Be As One is a solo EP from the label boss himself with three tough Techno jams, made essentially for punishing dancefloors.

Title track "Warfare" is a gritty destroyer. Raw and laced with crunchy textures it lures you in to its grasp, before adding tribal percussion layers that create a standout weapon for those wanting to add something a little different to a DJ set.

The second track "Conexión" rides a jackin' groove that can work any floor into submission. White noise stabs similar to bursts of pressurised steam set the scene for a dark and driving beat, with the hook comprising of a delayed analogue synth completing this awesome tool. "Thrived Under" revolves around a modular bleep and a chunky, stripped back rhythm oozing class. Hypnotic in nature, the rising tension is executed with precision as its depth and subtle touches make this a real double sided coin as firestarter or a peak time trip.
