The KRLVK series continues with DJ Jes' 'First Generation' EP

For the second instalment in the super-exciting Swedish imprint’s new series, DJ Jes' 'First Generation' EP contains four tracks of sheer night-life euphoria that delivers exhilarating loops and rhythmic bombs keeping up the constant momentum.

Known for keeping an ear to the dance floor, Karlovak label-heads Art Alfie and Mr. Tophat’s new series KRLVK opens the floor up to their musical peers. Following up the UK’s reigning king of machine funk, Ben Sims with KRLVK1, next up is DJ Jes, a Chicago-via-Mexico artist whose productions are good for the soul.

DJ Jes adds a sleek Chicago style throughout the release, with it's hypnotic, tequila-soaked beats will keep the party going until the sun rises over - or perhaps a Chicago rooftop in the summertime.

'Check It Out' kicks of the release, with a deep bass-line, driving beats, subtle saxophone, and wonderfully crafted vocals.

While the track 'Para Usted' continues the Chicago House feel, in a lighter affair yet still driving, with sequenced vocals that are looped and reworked.

'First Step' meanwhile mixes it up with a combination of House and NuDisco, a driving affair with floating synths, snappy high-hats and that deep bass-line and sweet vocals just adds context to the track.

'Malo' completes the release grooving along chocked full of filtered rhodes licks on a rolling bass-line that just makes you want to get up and groove away.
